Real Life Perspective

Just last week, I was asked questions about the currentSigns of the Times”.   Often, I preach about International events (i.e. earthquakes, financial collapses, terrorism, war, etc.) that move us toward the end of the age.  Additionally, the great moral issues, theological confusion, a sense of apathy among believers, and the breakdown of the family should be of great concern to all of us!

The youth of America must be taught to stand for truth and rightousness.  Often, I invite young people to “stand alone” in the face of so many incredible temptations from the culture.  Every parent and grandparent should be deeply committed to stand against the trends toward total secularism that confront every Christian home.  We are in a WAR with the enemy of God!!

Our only hope is not in governments or financial institutions but in a spirit-led revival, “humble ourselves” … “pray” …  “seek my (God’s) face”  and “turn from our wicked ways” (II Chron. 7:14).

DOMESTIC EVANGELISTIC FESTIVALS

The Jim Wilson Evangelistic Association has conducted several thrilling evangelistic meetings in S.E. Texas, Georgia, Illinois, South Carolina and Michigan.  God supernaturally blessed the faithful prayers and detailed preparation of hundreds of Christian workers and visionary pastors!  Some of them commented on the fact that attendance grew larger by Wednesday night than it was on Sunday.  The public response to the gospel — among young and old, church members and non-members — was an exciting thing to see!

CREATIVE AND PRODUCTIVE

In South Carolina, a tent was put up to help members invite the neighborhood to “come and see”.  It was a “novelty” for youth and a “good memory” for most of the adults.  To God be the glory for His blessings:

 *  A whole family, led by the dad, trusted Christ

 *  Scores of teens, some involved in sex, drugs and alcohol, came to know Jesus Christ

 *  A couple—unmarried and living together—accepted Christ & began pre-marital counseling

 *  An  85 year old man “came forward” to receive Jesus

 *  A deacon, leader realized that he had religion without God and was “born again”

Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to proclaim the gospel.  As you know, “love offerings” provide only 35% of needed funds for this work of faith.  So, we continue to need your financial help and consistent prayers as a PARTNER in this ministry!  Thanks!
